Open Edition Fine Art Print
Eloise was born and raised at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens in 1968, and is now the oldest female Bornean orangutan in North America. Since birth she has had special needs similar to those that may be associated with cerebral palsy. Essentially, making it hard for her brain to communicate with her muscles. Despite this, she has given birth to several babies, and lived into her 50's (average lifespan 35-40.) To me, this is proof that their world-class animal care staff's physical training and special care has been incredibly successful.
10% of proceeds from the sale of this print will go to AZA's Orangutan SAFE program that directly impacts orangutan conservation and protection in the wild.
